Bio:
Robert McGregor lives in Irmo, South Carolina. On moving to the state he began with Palmetto South in March of 2002. In addition to loan officer he fills roles as trainer, investor relations, agency liaison, researcher and occasional compliance officer and all around resource person.
Bob’s experience as a real estate agent, manager and lender gives a rounded perspective to his approach to any transaction. He started his real estate sales career in Wisconsin in 1982 and earned induction in to the Wisconsin REALTOR® Honor Society in 1984 and 1985. Shortly thereafter he transitioned into mortgage lending with a regional mortgage banking firm.
On moving to Florida in 1986, he began working at a $2.2 billion savings and loan association. While there, he rose from Loan Officer to Assistant VP - Secondary Marketing. As a secondary marketer, he was responsible for the retail loan pricing and management of the bank’s loan portfolio, including the sale of mortgages to institutional investors such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Part of his duties included roles as Compliance Officer. He was a significant figure in the training of staff and loan originators during the introduction of FHA/VA lending to the savings & loan’s as well as the development of other new loan products.
Bob has undergraduate degree with majors in Psychology and Sociology from Northern Michigan University, Marquette, Michigan; has earned a diploma in Biblical Studies and a certificate in Management and Leadership from the International Christian Graduate University, San Bernardino, California. In 2006 he completed a Master’s in Theology from Columbia Biblical Seminary, Columbia South Carolina.
